Nothing makes a home cozier than a furry animal friend with which to share it. It's not so cozy, though, to find your furniture covered in pet hair. It's less than endearing to discover fur on your favorite suit. Especially if you're in the middle of a business meeting or interview. How embarrassing.
Don't worry. Pet hair no longer has to be a problem. There are products on the market that take care of the hair at the source by making the hair more healthy and conditioned so that your pet doesn't shed more than s/he should.
One of these products is Shed-Guard. Shed-Guard is a premoistened wipe that you simply wipe over your pet's coat. It can even be used on puppies and
kittens, so you know it's safe.

Oh yeah, and less shedding. The treats are all natural which aids in your animal's ability to digest and benefit from them.
You can take your pet to a special groomer who will use the Furminator on him or her. First the groomer will wash your pet with a special shampoo and massage him or her. Then the pet will be "blown dry" with a high volume hair dryer and then the Furminator tool is used. It's a special tool used in the "carding" technique. Of course, the groomer can't give away all his secrets.
If you prefer to take care of your pet's grooming yourself, you can pick up a shedding comb at most pet stores. They are inexpensive combs with stainless steel teeth that are very close. The teeth grab the excess hair and hold on.
Brushing with a pet brush is usually a popular activity with your canine companion but with feline friends, it's a bit of a different story most of the time. If you have a pet that loves being brushed, you can make both of you very happy. Brushing not only gets rid of the excess hair in a manageable way but it also stimulates oil production which will aid in keeping the coat healthy, shiny and attached!
There is a neat gadget called a shedding blade. It is a loop of stainless steel that is raked through the animal's fur. It gets deep down close to the skin, safely and gently removing any unnecessary loose hair.
A favorite for lots of people and their pets is the grooming glove. This is a glove with little plastic grippers that grab on to the pet hair and hold it on. Dogs and cats enjoy being petted by someone wearing a grooming glove. As an added benefit, when you're done with your pal you can use it to remove hair from your furniture and clothing.
It is not possible to stop your animal from shedding altogether. It is healthy and natural for them to lose some of their coat. But through a healthier diet that includes foods rich in fatty acids and proteins you can significantly reduce the amount of hair that is shed. Add to this a few grooming techniques and you should begin to notice a real drop in hair loss.
